Where to upload the file

Upload the file to a public folder such as /js/, /assets/js/, or a similar client-side scripts directory. The default file name is seodot-net-cookie.js.

1. Separate JS file

This is the best fit for most websites. Upload the file to a public folder and include it once in the shared footer template or before </body>. Analytics, ads, and support widgets should start only after the needed category is allowed.

2. Theme or template assets folder

If the site is built through a theme, layout, or template, keep the file next to the rest of the client-side scripts and include it there.

3. Start optional services

This example shows how to start analytics or a support widget only after the needed category is allowed.

4. Direct HTML embed

Use this when you cannot upload files to the site. Paste the code into the shared footer template or directly before </body>. The consent code should run before optional services.
